INTRODUCTION
SISV has appointed a training co-ordinator, GPS Lands Pte Ltd to conduct the abovementioned course. SISV has named the course "Cadastral Surveying Course" for participants to enjoy a higher SDF Assistance.

Applications of GPS technology marks a new phase in land survey development in Singapore. Recently Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has converted its existing Cadastre survey system to the Co-ordinated Cadastre system on nation-wide scale.

The Co-ordinated Cadastre system is meant to benefits surveyors, the infrastructure & construction industries and the government agencies that require land survey data. Participants will learn the latest developments and surveying practices related to the coordinated cadastre system through lectures and practical field assignments.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course is supported by the Land Surveyors Board and has been designed to prepare surveying staff for the implementation of Co-ordinated Cadastral Surveying System in Singapore.

The objective of this course is to impart the essential and necessary theoretical and practical skills for participants to carry out cadastral surveys in accordance with the latest CS Directives on Cadastral Survey Practices under the SVY21 SYSTEM (ie. Coordinated Cadastral). The course is essential for all those working in the field, and for those providing technical support for them, as it provides the foundations for executing sound cadastral practices in Singapore.

Those who have successfully completed the course will be able to conduct their work in a more professional manner, and provide a higher standard of service these works.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Personnel who are keen to pick up the knowledge in Co-ordinated Cadastre System, especially Surveyors, Field Officers and Office Computation Staffs in Land Surveying firms, and personnel who are involved in Cadastral Surveying Applications in Singapore.

Project Managers, Civil Engineers, Land Information Managers, GIS Managers and other related personnel would greatly benefit from attending this course to know the details of Cadastral work related applications.

The Certificate in Cadastral Surveying awarded by the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers is a recognised qualification for employment as authorised assistant to conduct cadastral survey.

COURSE CONTENTS
The topics to be covered in the course are:

  • SVY21 and the Coordinated Cadastre, Types of survey and control network;
  • Allocation of lot numbers & lot numbering systems;
  • Survey maps and plans (RT, CP & CPST)
  • Chief Surveyor's directive on cadastral survey practices;
  • Survey of land lots, plan & file submission;
  • Strata Survey, Party wall Survey;
  • Guidelines & specifications for GPS surveys of ISN markers

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Completed both the Basic Land Surveying Course and Engineering Surveying Course organised by Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers.

COURSE DURATION
The course comprises 11 lectures and 10 practical sessions. There is an examination at the end of the course. Successful candidates will be awarded a "Certificate of Successful Completion" at the end of the whole course.

Total Course Duration: 72 Hours (2 weeknights of 3 hours each & 1 Saturday of 4 or 5 hours - over 7 weeks)

Where the application period ends on a public holiday or a Sunday, the closing date for applications will be on the first work day following he stated closing date.

No refund will be made and no request for deferment will be granted unless written notice is given no less than (7) days prior to the course commencement.

SISV & GPS Lands reserve the right to amend the course details, revise the course fee without prior notice, to cancel, postpone or change the venue of the course in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
